One step at a time.

Use a geographically positioned map image as a reference. Its pixels do not automatically become editable features.

  1. Export the map image

Open a land record → Export Data and Share → Export → Raster GeoPDF. Imported datasets use Export Complete Raster GeoPDF Package. Save and retain the complete package.

  2. Choose a GeoPDF to open

From Lands, choose More Land Actions → Import Land Data and select the supported Raster GeoPDF.

  3. Read the review

In Review GeoPDF, inspect Detected Type, CRS, Bounds and Validation Notes. The Raster Overlay section shows whether Overlay Import is available.

  4. Import the reference

When supported, tap Import Reference Layer. Open the Other Land result and compare the image position with known context before relying on it.
