Indigenous Library Coming @ SALA

Writer's picture: Robyn AdamsRobyn Adams

We are so excited to share that we have started an Indigenous Library at SALA currently in the Lassere building. The library will be located in the basement 3D Printer Workshop room for access by all current SALA students. Once we have a bookshelf all the books will be accessible for all students and staff/faculty to access.

These books were funded by the SALA Student Experience Fund, and selected by the members of ILANDS.

Thank you to SALA for the support, and to Massy Books for providing all the books with an education discount. We really appreciate Massy Books for carrying these titles and encourage everyone to purchase their books in person or online from Massy Books! <3

ILANDS is based in Vancouver. Many of us are living as guests on the unceded territories of the xÊ·mÉ™θkÊ·É™yÌ“É™m, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and SelÌ“ílÌ“witulh Nations. SALA is located on xÊ·mÉ™θkÊ·É™yÌ“É™m territory.

Indigenous students are often displaced from our home communities to study Architecture, and we represent different unique Indigenous Nations around Turtle Island.
