Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) governs the use of iLands and related services provided by TK Array Lands Corp (“TK Array Lands”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

This Policy forms part of the iLands Terms and Conditions. By accessing or using iLands, you agree to comply with this Policy.

1. Purpose

iLands is intended to support environmental monitoring, land stewardship, field data collection, mapping, reporting, collaboration, and related environmental intelligence activities.

Users must use iLands responsibly, lawfully, and in a manner that respects the rights of others.

2. Compliance with Laws

Users must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, permits, court orders, governmental directives, and community requirements when using iLands.

Users are solely responsible for determining whether collection, storage, sharing, export, or publication of information is lawful.

3. Prohibited Activities

Users may not use iLands to:

Illegal Activities

  • Violate any law or regulation;

  • Facilitate unlawful conduct;

  • Commit fraud or deception;

  • Circumvent legal obligations;

  • Infringe intellectual property rights.

Unauthorized Access

Users may not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems;

  • Bypass security controls;

  • Probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities without authorization;

  • Interfere with authentication systems;

  • Access accounts belonging to others.

Harmful Software

Users may not upload, distribute, or transmit:

  • Malware;

  • Viruses;

  • Trojan horses;

  • Ransomware;

  • Spyware;

  • Malicious code;

  • Automated attack tools.

Interference with Services

Users may not:

  • Disrupt platform operations;

  • Overload infrastructure;

  • Interfere with network performance;

  • Attempt denial-of-service attacks;

  • Abuse synchronization systems.

4. Data and Content Restrictions

Users may not upload, store, share, or distribute content that:

  • Is unlawful;

  • Is defamatory;

  • Is fraudulent;

  • Is misleading;

  • Violates privacy rights;

  • Violates contractual obligations;

  • Violates intellectual property rights;

  • Contains confidential information without authorization.

Users are solely responsible for all content uploaded through their accounts.

5. Traditional Knowledge and Sensitive Information

Where users collect or store Traditional Knowledge, cultural information, sacred information, community knowledge, or other sensitive information, users represent and warrant that they possess all necessary permissions and authority.

Users must not upload or share information where:

  • Community approval has not been obtained;

  • Consent requirements have not been met;

  • Access restrictions have been violated;

  • Cultural protocols prohibit disclosure.

TK Array Lands does not verify permissions associated with user-submitted content.

6. Mapping and Location Data

Users may not use iLands to:

  • Misrepresent geographic locations;

  • Falsify environmental observations;

  • Fabricate monitoring results;

  • Manipulate scientific records;

  • Create misleading regulatory submissions.

Any data submitted to governments, regulators, Indigenous Nations, industry clients, or other organizations remains the sole responsibility of the user.

7. Field Cameras and Monitoring Systems

Users must only connect, manage, access, or monitor cameras and monitoring systems that they own or are authorized to use.

Users may not:

  • Access another user’s camera feeds;

  • Interfere with monitoring devices;

  • Circumvent camera access controls;

  • Share camera access credentials without authorization.

8. Artificial Intelligence and Analytics Features

Users may not:

  • Misrepresent AI-generated outputs as verified facts;

  • Use AI-generated results without appropriate review;

  • Intentionally manipulate environmental scoring systems;

  • Attempt to reverse engineer proprietary analytics methodologies.

Environmental scores, classifications, predictions, and analyses are intended as informational tools and do not replace professional judgment.

9. Storage Abuse

Users may not use iLands primarily as a file-hosting, backup, archival, or media-sharing platform unrelated to legitimate use of the Services.

Examples include:

  • Excessive uploads unrelated to environmental monitoring;

  • Storage of unrelated personal files;

  • Mass distribution of media content;

  • Circumvention of storage limits.

TK Array Lands may remove content determined to be unrelated to the intended purpose of the Services.

10. Account Security

Users are responsible for:

  • Maintaining account confidentiality;

  • Protecting passwords;

  • Securing devices;

  • Preventing unauthorized access.

Users may not:

  • Share accounts with unauthorized persons;

  • Sell accounts;

  • Transfer accounts without permission;

  • Impersonate another person or organization.

11. Subscription Abuse

Users may not:

  • Circumvent subscription requirements;

  • Share subscription access beyond authorized use;

  • Manipulate billing systems;

  • Attempt to obtain services without payment where payment is required.

12. Investigations

TK Array Lands may investigate suspected violations of this Policy.

Users agree to cooperate with reasonable investigations relating to:

  • Security incidents;

  • Abuse reports;

  • Unauthorized access;

  • Legal compliance matters.

13. Enforcement

If we reasonably believe this Policy has been violated, we may:

  • Remove content;

  • Restrict access;

  • Suspend accounts;

  • Terminate accounts;

  • Disable sharing features;

  • Limit storage access;

  • Refuse future service;

  • Report activity to appropriate authorities where legally required.

We may take such actions with or without prior notice where necessary to protect users, communities, systems, or legal interests.

14. No Obligation to Monitor

TK Array Lands is not obligated to monitor user activity, content, or data.

However, we reserve the right to review content or activity when:

  • Required by law;

  • Necessary for security;

  • Necessary to investigate abuse;

  • Necessary to protect the Services.

15. Reporting Violations

16. Updates

TK Array Lands may modify this Policy at any time.

Continued use of iLands following publication of updated versions constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
